How to Choose the RIGHT Roofing Company

Reroofing is a process you may not be familiar with until it becomes time to replace the roof on your own home. And even then, there’s a lot to learn about which products to use and what procedures best meet your individual roofing needs. Therefore, it’s vital to know that you can rely on the roofing company you choose to give you good advice about those products and procedures that may be new to you. Whenever a major storm comes through, roofing companies come by the thousands from all over wanting to replace your roof. So how do you know which roofing companies you can trust, and which ones will take your money and suddenly disappear?

  • Go with a local Company!

The biggest red flag is a roofing company that is not from the area. Ask the salesperson where their office is located, and look them up online or actually go to the office. If a company is local and has a physical office building, generally this shows that they are not planning on closing up shop and leaving town any time soon. Be sure to ask for the full name of the company and phone number right off the bat.

  • Company Name on the vehicle?

You can tell a lot about a company by looking at the company vehicle. Is it a broken down looking truck with no company name or logo? Probably not a legitimate roofer. Not to say the are definately a scammer, but be cautious when answering the door. If a nice truck pulls up with a professionally done vehicle wrap boldly displaying the company name and logo, thats a good sign. Vehicle wraps are expensive, and generally only serious businesses can afford them.

  • Knowlegable Salesperson

Ask a lot of questions. The salesperson should be enthusiastic to answer your questions and respond to your concerns.
